The evidence that a student has completed a successful research project
is the final product. The final product can take many forms (i.e.
Power Point presentations, oral presentations with visual, videos
and written reports) The possibilities are endless!
Writing
is an integral part of the research process especially in creating the
final product. Students should be guided on the following:
-
How
to organize information
-
How
to format a paper or project. All products should have an introduction,
body, and conclusion.
- How
to write a purpose statement and/or thesis statement
- How
to meet evaluation guidelines and criteria
To
help students get a clear understanding of the steps in the writing process
and to ensure success, share
anchor pieces(samples of exemplary student work) when available, include
opportunities for
Peer Editing, give
students the opportunity to reflect using Self-Assessment tools, and set
evaluation criteria with students.
